Workshops with children

Creating printmaking workshops has been crucial to my artistic journey. These workshops have helped me develop a comprehensive approach to exploring the intricate connection between materials and abstract concepts. Acting as a catalyst, these workshops allow me to engage with printmaking both as a performance and as a conversation with materials. In 2023, I led a printmaking workshop and served as an artist in residence at the bilding School of Art and Architecture in Innsbruck. Working with children offered a unique perspective on the essence of materials and their interconnectedness through printmaking.

This opportunity also involved teaching and learning alongside students, co-curating an exhibition, and collaboratively creating a publication. The resulting zines, produced through riso printmaking, capture their interpretations of printmaking processes and document our experimental endeavors.

The following documentation showcases three different zine shapes featuring poetry written by children. They speculated on the meaning
of abstract prints created during workshops. This collective work was a highlight of my workshop practice as it reveals printmaking from a collective perspective, incorporating playfulness both through text and book shapes.
